For decades

For decades,
I was secluded within four walls
Seldom opened the doors and windows
And smelled the soil and the rustic dust
Endured the magic of deep breath of fresh air
The morning mysteries and its cool breeze
And the sweet cock-crowing

For decades,
I was confined to a cruel cell
Deprived of musical rain and bright sunshine
Soothing calm and dim twilight
The queen of night and her crazy fans
Wandering silver clouds and ripened ones
The aroma of fields while it rains

For decades,
I was caged like a mad mammal
Denied of varied songs of myriad birds
Flora and fauna of heaven delight
Mammoth trees to capture the sky
Mountains crowned with shining clouds
Infinite waves to kiss the shores

Finally,
Fortunate to open the balcony door
Mesmerized to find the rainbow there
Shall never close the windows and doors
And now shall get ready to chase the world
